Today is a day that is filled with possibility! Because of the new moon (and the new year), it's a great day for setting powerful intentions. And because we are still within the 13 sacred days - which you can learn more about here - it's also a great day for getting intuitive wisdom to guide your intention-setting, and for seeding those intentions by experiencing what it is you want to create. This new moon will push you to re-evaluate everything, from your goals for 2022 to how you can (finally) achieve that perfect work-life balance. - WomensHealthMag.com Have you been feeling that energy? If so, this new moon is the reason why. It might feel like deciding on a new intention one day, and second-guessing yourself the next. But be patient, because not only will that energy fade, but if you set intentions that are aligned with your intuitive wisdom, your heart and your soul, they will still be there, along with any action plans you make, when the new moon passes. The New Moon in CapricornWhether or not New Year’s resolutions are your thing, the spiritual meaning of this lunation makes it a gorgeous time to clarify your personal intentions and make sure they align on a soul level. Allow yourself to dig deep into your soul to identify exactly why you want what you want under this new moon. - January New Moon, Bustle.com The Capricorn new moon will offer motivation to set your intentions and then develop a grounded plan to manifest them. Because of planets and other signs connected to this new moon - Uranus and Taurus specifically, - you also may experience some exciting surprises, creative inspiration and eye-opening epiphanies that will empower your intentions even more. Hosted by a deep, dark, blank-slate sky, you might imagine that the new moon is offering up a vision board on which you can scribble your intentions. New moons traditionally present a chance to get clear on long-term dreams, goals, and big-picture projects. And in order to lock them in, you can practice a ritual like opening up to a therapist or loved one, journaling, lighting a candle, or doing a visualization practice. - Shape.com Once your intentions are set, why not solidify them by writing them down in your journal, creating a vision board and then visualizing every intention happening and feeling the way you want it to feel. Create a Vision BoardLast month, I joined a Facebook group that my friend, Julie Jordan-Scott is leading. There is a daily writing prompt, and one day, the question was about who you would want to have with you, while sitting by the fire. I immediately saw myself with my friends, hanging out around a fireplace, in a living room, and I could feel how good it felt to live there and to have them come over as guests. And I am setting an intention for that to come true this year. We will be moving somewhere - it might as well be somewhere with a fireplace! What is one of the dreams that you are hoping will come true this year? See you tomorrow! Love, Jeanine

This is such a great post! I spent yesterday setting up my plan for the new year as well as plan for the month. I am very much into spirituality (intuition, life after death, past lives, etc.). I'm not as much into how the moon affects our intuition, but this was facsinating so something I should probably look into more. I was feeling pretty motivated yesterday with my planning - it was the doing part that was tough. I guess it was just meant for me to plan. Today is a new day and I feel much more set in carrying out the plan now. I look forward to learning more from you!

Oh, that's wonderful! I'm glad to hear that your planning for the year has been going so well. Maybe you can take the next few days to practice those intentions in some way. For example, one of my intentions is to cook more often, and to cook healthier meals. So yesterday, I volunteered to cook most of the dinner my friends and I were getting together to have.

Thank you, Laurie! I never set what I would call resolutions, because I don't trust them. They usually are sponsored by "shoulds" and not aligned with what I really want most. But when I seek guidance about what wants to shift in my life, and set my intentions based on that guidance, it's more likely to work out.

It's funny because I keep getting the feeling I should have done this challenge with the Mystic but I am doing this one with my son.To help him see if he really wants to take photos for a living. I haven't done a new vision board in a few years.

Oh, that's interesting, Brenda! Well, we're in a thinner-veil time right now, so if you are being guided to do the challenge there, maybe try to find a way to do both? I trust your intuition.

That's awesome! I have done some planning, and have taken action on a few of my intentions. But need to do more since I have several intentions.

See if you can get a sense that the divine, or the universe or your higher self is leading or guiding you to make those changes. That might make it easier to stick with your intentions.

Jeanine, hmm! Setting goals into the New Moon energy and maybe getting some big surprises that help! I'm in! My two big goals for this season are (1) to reorganize the house and my livingness, as my husband passed in August and (2) to rebuild my vitality after some surgery and chemo and, of course, after the shock of being a widow. A few boxes leave each week, and my mind is clearer now than in many months. My faith says God is always with me and wants me to be strong and happy. Thanks for raising these points!

I admire you, Kebba! Because if it were me, I am sure I would still be under the covers. And those are great goals.
