Taking time the night before to prepare for the next day will not only make your morning go much more smoothly, but it will also give you a boost when you wake up. There’s something about waking up with a simple plan in place and things in order that jumpstarts your day in a good way. - Crystal Paine, author of Say Goodbye to Survival Mode Getting Enough Sleep
Because getting enough sleep can have such an impact on how you feel and what it's like to get up the next morning, anything you can do the night before to sleep well and sleep long enough will help. Putting together an evening routine that helps make that happen will mean it could run like clockwork, and you won't even have to think about it. Or not much anyway. If you struggle with mornings, maybe aromatherapy can help you the night before to wind down, let go of tension or stress the day handed you, and get to sleep in plenty of time to wake up refreshed the next morning. Lavender is a great essential oil for all three purposes. It can help you relax and can hug away your stress and tension. It can help you surrender to sleep when it's time to go to bed. And it's soothing properties may make the entire wind down process easier than it would be otherwise. Lavender calms the nervous system by lowering blood pressure, heart rate, and skin temperature – all processes which take place during the body’s natural transition to sleep. -Tuck.com Preparing for the Next Day
Preparing the night before for your next day will save you time and energy when that day rolls around. Take time, as part of your evening routine, to think ahead to what you'll need the next morning. You can even establish tomorrow's priorities and choose one or two intentions for the next day. And if you know of any challenges coming up the next day, grab the essential oil that will help you and have it on hand and ready, so you won't have to go looking for it. Need to stay calm during the meeting with your child's teacher and watch the way you respond? Get out your chamomile oil. Wanting help to stay focused while you're working on an important project that's been giving you headaches? Keep some peppermint oil nearby and remember to breathe deeply. It's going to all work out. Set it out the night before, so you won't have to get up to go get it right when you're in the middle of working on the project. And maybe you'll sleep better, knowing you're already well prepared for the day to come. See you next time!
