A friend of mine and I decided to trade readings. I wanted guidance on which book to write first, ad she wants guidance about getting a part-time, work-from-home job... The ReadingThe deck I use is the Herbcrafters Tarot. I felt guided to pull four cards and they turned out to be - The Tower, Madre of Air, Three of Air and Ace of Earth. Let tragedy nourish the soul of rebirth. Other suggestions are about enhancing vitality, so that she is better able to handle the changes, and learning something new. So I think this card indicates that she may need to give herself time to process and move through whatever has happened, so that she can then have new energy for the work-from-home job she wants. It also suggests that the new work is likely to involve learning something new. Quick bite, deep nourishment. From the book's description, it seems that the Madre cards indicate the call for a time of healing, a slow pace and nourishing medicine. The plants suggested are said to indicate the heart of the needed healing. So once again, we have a need to learn something new, and that learning may be about becoming, rather than taking in new information. The card calls for a bold declaration and the need to get rid of something in her life, because doing so will make way for truth. It also calls for emotional stability, and motherwort is the suggested herb, which will soften the expression of her truth, which can sometimes be very straightforward, direct and spiky. She needs to pursue her purpose from a calm, loving and centered place - and this suggests to me that whatever opportunity she reaches for needs to align with her purpose. With who she came here to be and what she came here to do. This card describes her as lion-hearted & it, also encourages her to honor her inner lion, so I take that and other parts of this card's message that the clarity of truth she is here to express and the direct & bold way out comes forth is all a part of who she came here to be. .
Isn't it beautiful how well these cards support each other, in this reading? Another mention of loss and change, and the need for healing. At this point, I just want to hug her. This card reminds me not just of The Tower, but of the Madre of Air's message, too, which called for letting go of what is holding her back. But maybe this letting go has to do with loss. The card mentions that she will grow in self-knowledge as a result of her experience of heartache. Might the self-knowledge be about her purpose, mentioned in the previous card? Another message here is that she may be dealing with an agonizing reality she has to face! And she may not want to face it; may be avoiding it. But this card calls for her to look it squarely in the face and accept it. My guess is that this shift will have to happen first before something new can come into her life. Ohhh! It also speaks of learning from what has happened. So that might be the learning we keep hearing about in this reading. She is encouraged to reach out to strong allies who can help her go through the grieving process.. And she will need to let herself grieve as long as it takes, the card says. WRITE YOUR STORY, it says. Two similar messages, but I think it means she will need to write it first, expressing her grief, before she can rewrite it with the intention to reach for something new. Don't fence me in. Identify your medicine. That, and the deeper knowing suggest to me that this might indicate the way in which she will know herself better as a result of her healing, mentioned in one of the previous cards. And it may be a deepening of what she already knows. Apparently, there is a new idea just waiting for her to notice it. But she will have to be careful to discern it carefully, so she doesn't get fooled by a lookalike. This card encourages her to put her feelings aside, so that she can follow the truth, and to start with what she knows, already. Ooh, a journal prompt from this card. She needs to ask herself what her Achilles' heel is, and uncover how it is holding her back. How is it keeping me from my destiny? The essence of yarrow, used magically, will help her heal her wounds. And I sense that the healing will come first and the deeper knowing after the healing is complete. What a POWERFUL Reading! In summary, I believe she needs to face something she hasn't wanted to acknowledge, let herself grieve the loss and expect deeper knowledge, and new possibilities will come from it. But it will mean letting go of something that is holding her back. If she can do that, she steps onto the path that leads to her destiny. Whew! What a reading. I will share my own tomorrow or the next day. Love, Jeanine
