Years ago, when I first began to do the Ultimate Blog Challenge, my primary motivation was to increase traffic to my website. And it always worked, sometimes by thousands of pageviews! Well, not anymore. Although my pageviews by the end of the month were up from the beginning by almost 700, it isn't like it used to be. So, my motivation has shifted somewhat. I still hope to increase the traffic to my blog, but I'm not watching the numbers as closely. Except I like to see which blog posts were the most popular during the month. But aside from looking at the site activity, what's more valuable is the chance to think through and then express my point of view, and to create pages that will remain long after the challenge comes to an end. And I enjoy getting to discuss the topics I write about with other UBCers. Just doing that helps to clarify my thinking and often gives me ideas for future blog posts. So once again, I am grateful to come to the end of a challenge... Thank You, Paul & Friends! Thanks to Paul Taubman for getting us together each season and supporting our writing. And thanks to all the other bloggers who participated this month. I really enjoyed connecting with you and I look forward to doing it again in the fall. Wishing you an everyday experience of boundless self-love, cozy self-care, a gentle rhythm & a slower pace, and the happiness of living as your authentic self. Love, Jeanine

When I first started doing the Ultimate Blogging Challenge, I wanted to grow my readership (which was very low) and learn how to maintain a blog because I was really pretty clueless. I also was quite fascinated by numbers but now, not so much. I have found that there are people who follow my blog and who have watched me grow as a writer and an artist and for all of them, I am very grateful. -

I know what you mean, Alice. And I am grateful, too, for the people who have followed my blog and work. I am so glad I have gotten to know you and your blog over these years.

Thank you, Danwil! I was actually just recently telling a friend of mine about one of your posts. I was saying how nice it was to read a blog post that had a blessing at the end.

Congratulations on another challenger under your belt Jeanine. I too like to check my stats and see which blogs get the most traffic. It's usually Lia's blogs now that get the highest views! LOL I haven't checked yet but I'll do that for a blog filler in a week or two!

Oh, good, Martha! I miss your posts in between challenges. I am always interested in which posts are the most popular. It often is not the ones I expect, LOL.

Jeanine, I love what you said about formulating your thoughts. The UBC gives us a format for doing that every day. I have tried to boil down my thoughts to brief posts, and maybe I have succeeded! I have enjoyed your posts this month and look forward to reading more in October or before.

Kebba, your posts were great this month. And the ones that were shorter, were nonetheless powerful. I am looking forward to more of them in the fall.
