Most of us who journal, or who have ever written in a journal, think of them as a place to pour out your heart, think through a problem, or just describe your day. And indeed, self-expression can be very powerful. But I'm going to suggest another way to journal. This might even be a more important reason to journal, since it could change your life. Manifest the Life You Want with JournalingThat graphic is a kind of preview of coming attractions for this month's blog posts. The theme, as you may have surmised, will be creating or manifesting the life you want. The Law of Attraction is the inspiration for the conversation I want to have with you. And my question is this. Could journaling be the process you need to create the tweak or shift you want in your life? Doesn't have to be a major change. Might just be about finding more time for self-care. Or creating a rhythm in the way you spend time each day, so that each day goes more smoothly. Here's what I am suggesting... You take whatever it is you are hoping will change, or become a part of your everyday experience, and you write about it in your journal, as if it already has. You express gratitude, you tell the story of what happened, you share what's happening "now" as result. And in doing so, your brain hears you thinking that story as if it is true, and the universe gets the message that you are completely clear about what you want and what you plan to do once you get it. Would that be fun to try? I've been doing that in my own journal for a while now, and for me, it's not only fun, but also exciting! Visual JournalingI suggested visual journaling during a 7-day "journal the life you want" challenge in my Facebook group, recently. Listen, to hear how it can help to support you in manifesting the life you want… Do you journal? And if so, have you ever tried visual journaling? See you tomorrow! Love, Jeanine

I love this suggestion, Jeanine! I journal daily though I have lately fallen into only pouring out my thoughts and feelings, this post made me realize I haven't been visualizing much in my writing. Thank you for the inspiration! I'll start back on this today.

My journaling is my safe haven for sharing thoughts that I would never share with anyone else. As I keep writing without editing, it helps me think. It helps me dump those feelings that I don't want to take with me throughout the day. I like the exercise of sharing what you want to happen, as if it already happened.

I love this idea, one because I am writing all the time. Two because I think I do this one already. I even have a vision board with pictures and saying. It's in my office so I can see it all the time. I do change it from time to time.

Yes, it is like putting your vision board into writing by writing the story behind it in your journal! That's great that you have your vision board where you can see it.

I truly believe in manifestation but I have not tried this such an excellent suggestion. I think I am going to do it. I have made many vision boards but I think this will keep it in the forefront of your mind.

Mostly, I journal in my blog. But I also keep a visual journal, with pictures and stories. I share my personal reflections, as well as pictures and poems and other stuff!

It sounds like you make great use of your blog and visual journal, Alice!! And your art journal could easily be used for manifesting something, too - you could just draw a picture of what you want to see happen. Did you try that during the challenge?
