So, y'all know I have been playing with ChatGPT. And I was in a webinar recently where the person leading it gave it the task of writing a poem about the theory of relativity. It was beautiful! So I decided to try asking for a poem about a healer who wanted Christmas magic. Who could that be, I wonder. I loved the resulting poem so much I teared up! I did do a bit of editing, to make it feel even more like me, so now I love it even more. Read it and let me know what you think. ~ Jeanine Christmas Healer's MagicIn the hush of winter's eve, I tread my path, A healer's heart, my guiding star, through shadows cast. The snow-kissed earth, a canvas white, Holds secrets untold, my soul's delight. Amidst the twinkling lights, a tale unfolds, Of magic in the air, where dreams take hold. In Christmas's gentle embrace, I yearn to find, A superpower within, I'm redefined. With every whispered prayer, a wish I weave, To heal the wounded hearts that ache and grieve. To mend the broken souls, lost in despair, With Christmas as my cloak, these gifts to share. In every twinkling light, a glimmer gleams, A guide to lead me through life's fleeting dreams. A healer's touch, a balm of love and grace, In this season's magic, I will find my place. A single snowflake falls, delicate and rare, Each like a prayer, an answered call to care. In the depths of winter's chill, I shall ignite, A warmth, a healing fire, a radiant light. As carolers sing, their melodies arise, I feel the stirring within, a soul that flies. A healer's heart, now bound to Christmas' song, A superpower unfurls, both fierce and strong. Through giving hearts, I'll harness yuletide's might, To mend, to nurture, and make spirits bright. No need for capes or masks to shield from sight, For within me lies a power, pure and bright. The holly's crimson hue, a symbol I embrace, Of love's enduring strength, a tender space. With healing hands, I'll touch each troubled heart, And Christmas magic shall unveil my art. In the twinkle of an eye, a miracle found, A kindled hope, a weary soul unbound. As stars adorn the sky, my purpose is clear, To heal through Christmas magic, year after year. For in this season's gift, I've come to see, The healer I am destined to be. With every candle's flame, a vow I make, To spread love's healing touch, for healing's sake. So, let Christmas be my superpower, To mend the wounded hearts, hour after hour. In every festive bell's chime above, I'll find myself, a healer born of love.

There are some really good verses in there! I tried asking Chatgpt to write some traditional Haiku. Some of them were good too, but repetitive.

Thanks, Janice! I thought so, too. I wonder if you could improve the haiku by changing your prompt. Like you could say, "write a haiku in the style of someone who is an expert and has been writing them for 20 years," or something like that.

Thank you, Dominique!! I agree. It feels like it captured the essence of who I am in a poem.

That is impressive what ChatGPT can do. Is that still considered your intellectual property since you published it here? I am fascinated with this new technology and I am looking into using it to write grants for my nonprofit. Thank you for sharing. Sending love.
