Wine with friends is cheaper than therapy.
How to Turn Your Get-Together
with Friends into a Wine Tasting
(1) Get two different kinds of glasses - for white wine & red wine.
White wine should be served in more of a U-shaped glass. Doing so will help to preserve the taste and keep it cool.
But for red wine, you need a larger glass. This will cut down on bitterness and create a smoother taste.
Before serving, your white wine will need about an hour to cool in the fridge. For red wine, you'll only need about 15-20 minutes to reach its ideal temperature.
Wanting to keep wine costs low? Keep your invite list to 6 people or less.
What to Pair with Your Wine
An easy trick is to color code your food with your wine. As a general guide, lighter colored foods generally pair better with lighter white wines. - Emily Papach, Master Sommelier
For a casual girls' night in, feel free to grab snacks from the closest grocery store. No need to knock yourself out in the kitchen.
The focus is on making new friends or developing or maintaining closeness with the ones you already have. No one will care how fancy your food is or how hard you worked to create it.
Grab popcorn, add goat cheese to flatbread and call it good.
